Meet Kanesha Reilly: Abundant Life’s New V-Trades Coordinator
May 15, 2025|Written By: Faith Kelley
Kanesha Reilly, whose parents are former Prospect Avenue community members, joined the Abundant Life team as the new V-Trades Coordinator. Having grown up in the earlier parts of her childhood here in Charlottesville, Kanesha watched her mom’s childcare business grow, which started in Prospect to support the families in the community.
Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26
With a deep desire to serve the community in a greater capacity, Reilly became familiar with Abundant Life through her Church, Faith Hope and Love International Healing and Deliverance Center, and her Pastor, Apostle Kelley. Two winters in a row, Kanesha and her husband, Andrew, volunteered at Abundant Life’s Christmas Store. Following the birth of their first child, Kanesha began to trust God with what He had for her next, knowing that she desired to do community work. She has a background in youth development, formerly working at Elk Hill. With an interest in the betterment of her neighbors, Kanesha was excited when she was presented with the opportunity as the V-Trades Coordinator, and came on board with wonderful ideas on how to continue to come alongside our community.
“I’m most excited to help this community by serving them as I establish relationships and connections and watching those individuals that I am able to help blossom and reach those personal goals, whether that be finishing their education or furthering it, as well as exploring new trades and career paths that they may have disqualified themselves from.”
As the V-Trades Coordinator, Kanesha shares her drive to continue to shape the program to fit the needs of the community but establishing and fostering relationships. She is aware of barriers that may exist and is dedicated to working through barriers with community members that may keep them from reaching their full potential, by addressing them with a holistic approach. Kanesha is looking forward to getting to know each participant’s personal interests and skills that could possibly turn into a career.
“I see the V-Trades program expanding outside of the general Orangedale-Prospect area and continuing to collaborate with other organizations to help them foster continued growth within the community and their organizations as well.”
We are blessed to be joined by Kanesha Reilly and her love for the LORD and the community.
