Second new vehicle bought with matching funds

May 25, 2018|Written By: Dylan Rosenthal

Thanks to your prayers and donations, and the generous matching gift of a local foundation, we have now replaced both 15-passenger vehicles that died last year. The second minibus arrived last week to complete our fleet makeover and return us to maximum transportation capacity.

COO Anne Brown took the newest addition on its maiden voyage, taking participants in our Walker tutoring program on an end-of-year field trip for pizza and a movie. We’d like to thank board member Harrison Wallace for his work to procure the vehicle, with assists from board members Byron Harris and Laura Merricks. We look forward to transporting many youth, volunteers, and staff members to and from programs, field trips, college and career visits, and camps for many years to come.
