Dear Friends,
When we look at the life of Jesus, we see a beautiful example of the power of presence and proximity. Jesus chose to redeem humanity up close and in person, revealing a God who desires to come and dwell among us. At Abundant Life one of our core values is to pursue tangible presence alongside our neighbors, not only to become more rooted in a physical place, but to foster more deeply rooted and redemptive relationships. Over the past couple months we have been blown away by the (literal) doors God has opened for us to pursue this goal.
With the help of anonymous donors and others, we successfully raised enough funds prior to our Art of Building Community banquet to purchase a second house, directly beside our “White House” on Prospect Avenue! This purchase will allow us to increase our staff presence as well as program accessibility for our neighbors. We are thrilled about what this means for our future in Prospect and are grateful for all of you who continue to support our work through donations, prayers, and volunteering. Recent successes such as this purchase are as much a product of your partnership as they are of our own efforts. For the privilege of serving alongside each of you we are deeply grateful.
