Fall programs launch with updated safety protocols

Sep 15, 2020|Written By: Dylan Rosenthal

Abundant Life has launched its fall programs with updated safety protocols related to COVID-19. All gatherings require social distancing and are outdoors or in well-ventilated indoor spaces with masks. The safety protocols also include capacity limits, a sanitation regimen, and bus policy. All participants (or their parents) and volunteers must sign a liability waiver and affirm they are symptom-free and have not knowingly been exposed to the virus.

Abundant Life hosted 5/8 Club and Royal Girls, Gardening Club, and VBS during the summer outdoors without any infections among participants, volunteers, or staff. In response to the needs of parents during virtual learning, Abundant Life is offering Academic Enrichment programs for elementary and middle school students. Christ Episcopal Church is hosting a four-hour program during the school day, while Buford Middle School is hosting a one-hour program after school. Staff and volunteers assist the students Monday through Thursday.

The 5/8 Club, Royal Girls, STRIVE, and Crown Academy continue to meet under the updated safety protocols. Bible Club is an optional activity during the Elementary Academic Enrichment Program, which also includes breakfast and lunch. We are grateful to our partners, volunteers, and donors who enable us to continue serving our neighbors during this pandemic!
